The City Council adopted the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 City Work Program on May 17 and provided the final prioritization on June 9. The City Work Program, which includes input from the community, commissions, staff, and the City Council, guides some of the major efforts of the City for the upcoming Fiscal Year. The adopted City Work Program can be viewed here. The City Work Program Dashboard will be updated to reflect the adopted FY 2022-2023 City Work Program during the first quarter update in Fall 2022.

    Each year, City Council discusses and decides upon its annual goals for the City Work Program. These Council goals will guide some of the major efforts of the City for the upcoming fiscal year. The 2021-2022 City Council goals included:

    • Public Engagement and Transparency
      • Creating and maintaining key conversations and interactions with the Cupertino Community. 
    • Sustainability
      • Continuing Cupertino’s commitment to building a sustainable and resilient community for future generations. 
    • Housing
      • Contributing meaningfully and in a balanced manner to the housing inventory in support of our community needs, including affordable housing (from extremely low-income to moderate-income level housing) and addressing homelessness. 
    • Transportation
      • Providing access to an efficient, safe multi-modal transportation system for our community, and advocating for effective, equitable mass transit in the greater region. 
        • Improving Traffic Flow and Alleviating Congestion 
    • Quality of Life
      • Furthering the health and well-being of all Cupertino community members.
        • Air Quality and Noise
        • Public Safety
        • Recreation
        • Access to Goods and Services
